Introduction
The Zenith Bank Notification Management System was designed to give users full control over their banking alerts and improve communication efficiency. The goal was to simplify how customers receive, manage, and customize notifications while maintaining trust and transparency in digital banking interactions.
Banking communication is tricky. Customers expect real-time, personalized alerts (like a security SMS within seconds), while banks need rigid control and oversight to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance.
This project involved designing two interconnected solutions for Zenith Bank:
A Notification System → giving customers more control over how, when, and where they receive alerts.
An Admin Dashboard → empowering bank staff to manage, configure, and monitor notifications across multiple channels.

The Problem
Before, Zenith Bank’s notifications were… fragmented.
Customers often receive excessive or irrelevant alerts, leading to frustration and notification fatigue. Additionally, managing preferences across multiple channels (SMS, email, app) lacked a unified and user-friendly interface.
Customers received alerts via SMS, email, or the app, but had no flexibility to control frequency or channels.
Admins had no centralized dashboard to track or configure notifications, leading to inefficiency and errors.
Communication lacked transparency and personalization, which eroded trust.
This created two major needs:
🧑💻 For customers → more personalization, choice, and control.
👨💼 For admins → better oversight, role management, and system security.
WHAT WAS SOLVED
We created a centralized platform where users can view, customize, and control all banking notifications from one dashboard. This system empowers users to set preferences, pause alerts, and monitor message history — improving engagement and satisfaction.

Better compliance with role-based control & audit logs
Clear monitoring of delivery rates

CONCLUSION
The new Notification Management System transformed how Zenith Bank users interact with alerts shifting from intrusive messages to personalized, user-driven experiences. It strengthened trust, reduced alert fatigue, and aligned with the bank’s digital-first vision for customer empowerment.
Due to confidentiality, I can’t show full designs. But here’s a breakdown of the key flows and concepts I worked on:
